So I started getting calls from an unkown Vegas area code and nobody left me messages. I finally answered and it was some lady from "National Auto Shopper" offering to sell my defender for more than I listed. She said that on average they have been selling in 30 to 40 days. They would list my car in a number of places and ebay, take care of the title transfer, blah blah blah. Anyway, they wanted $500 up front to do all of this. I did some research online and I read some very bad rip off reports from this company...who is also listed under autoshopper.com
It was also very strange that they never answered when I called them back directly. All representatives were always with other customers, etc. Very strange to say the least. I talked to the lady more any they basically make money by financing your car and letting the buyer take on some interest. Seems like a decent concept and a good way to screw a buyer who has no concept of finance, however the company itself sounded a bit shady. Plus any place that want's $500 up front seems like a bogus deal.
Anyway, just my friendly advice...and yes mine is still for sale if interested:
