Has anyone ever repaired/replaced/upgraded the stock clock (between the emergency flasher switch & cigar lighter) in their D90?
Mine went bad in my '95 before I sold it and now I'm noticing my '97 clock is going out as well. When it does work, it's losing about a minute a day.
Any ideas?

When I bought my Defender last August the clock wouldn't keep time at all. I had no idea what to do, but I figured I would just "jump" into it, and see what I could fix. I pulled to clock out of the dash and opened it up. Then I pulled off the hands and cleaned all the gunk out of it, and then put it all back together. The fix was perfect, and to this day ::knock on wood:: it keeps great time.
Hope this helps,
Mike

My clock keeps perfect time twice a day.

Bought one on ebay and when I plugged it in it ran backward !!!

mine is coming out this spring, to be replaced by some nifty indicator lights I picked up. Every once in a while the minute hand decides to race the second had around for a bit. I gave up looking at it and just use the clock on the radio.

Michael-

Ha Ha nope, tried the wireing the right way then the wrong way. Does not do anything wired backward. But it does reminds me of a clock I saw behind a bar in Spotted Horse Wyoming.

Picked one up on Ebay, works perfect! My old clock was #$%!*'ed since I got my truck 2 years ago.

The second hand was stuck to the minute hand, making it move ahead an hour every minute....... boy how time flies!!

yeah my clock doesn't keep very good time as well.....There have been times that i have used that clock to get somewhere and ended up 30 mins late......Maybe cleaning the gunk out of it and putting it back together will make a difference
