Connecticut Rover shops?

Hi all,
I'm new to the Connecticut (Fairfield County) area and was wondering if there are any decent Land Rover shops close by.

I've heard of a place called Classic 4x4s in Fairfield. Any opinions?

Hi Chris,
I'm new to rovers (97' D90 last week & a 94' 3 mos ago that I now need to sell) but live in Fairfield County, I too just heard about Classic, supposedly he does good work and is reasonable, I'll be goning down there to talk to him soon, probably early next month. I'll let you know. I drive past the shop sometimes and see all types of Rovers, some right hand drives too !!

Although I've never taken my Rover to Dawson's (owner of Classic) I've met the man and had a friend who worked there for a while. Dawson is a nice guy and very helpful. We went up to Aircraft Rd a few years ago and one of the guys in our group drove up from Maryland (he was on his way to Canada) and broke one of his shocks. We stopped by Dawson's and he let us put the Disco on the lift and even gave the guy a used shock as a replacement (free). After that we headed up to Aircraft RD and that's when another guy in the group boomeranged his trailing arm and snapped the rear driveshaft. What a fun day that was!!!

I usually head up to Wilton to visit my brother.... if you see me coming in my Rangie or D1 don't forget to wave.

Dawson is great, but I don't think he is in Fairfield anymore. My parents live in Fairfield, and he is definitely not on Blackrock Tpke anymore. I don't know where he is.

Hmmm, I didn't know that.... wonder where he moved to...

I know there is a repair shop on Route7 just North of Wilton that had some series trucks outside....maybe they work on Rovers also. It's on the left side (going North on 7) next to a Vespa dealer.
