i've looked specifically, but its not any different than ours is it? there is an earlier 'thinner' model, but every other 'real' Tdi I've seen had the same wheel as ours, I believe. (but, i haven't seen from-the-factory Tdi's).

I thought the tdi one had the green LR emblem and was thinner, without the head pillow ours has....

now that you mention it, I have seen that in LRO, LRM, or something .... seems like that was in one of the newer models (2000+). again, i'm going off vague memory. that might be one for George at RDS.

the part number is either NTC8847 or ANR3231 both are the ones that you are looking for with the green oval in the center.

I checked with George a while back on one of these and they are huge money. They are the same material as the stock NAS wheel.

Martin or anyone else. Any idea if these can be retrofitted to our steering column? Just curious....

FYI for anyone thinking of doing this. The 300 tdi steering wheel will not fit the NAS V8 steering column. The diameter of the wheel mount is larger, by about 1/4".

Hope this tidbit helps...

Is this the one you guys are talking about ?

I was thinking of fitting it, glad to know it won't fit though...

Yup, that's the one. I like the design much better than the NAS steering wheel because it lacks the "head pillow". But whatever...

You can use a TD5 steering wheel on our NAS models I think. You may want to check, but I think they switched back to the old steering column like we have for the leather wrapped wheels.

Chris, you are right. The TD5 steering wheel is the same design as the NAS wheel, same column but it's leather wrapped. :pimp

On a side note. If your doing a conversion and using your NAS V8 main wiring harness. I discovered last night you can swap out the warning lamp indicator from the NAS with that of the 300tdi. They are a direct fit. Only difference is the tdi version has the glow plug light in place of the check engine light since we have no ECU. I know it may be small and insignificant, but it made me happy...
