in the next few months im hopefully gonna be in the market for a new tranny. i was wondering what you guys would suggest as to getting one.
i was hoping that i could have one sent over from england as i know they are a dime a dozen over there. has anyone done this? or is the smart thing to do just order one from RN or RDS?

RDS. Shipping from the UK is expensive and time consuming.

I just had to replace a R380 in my 95 due to a blown mainshaft; yep sucked bigtime, $$$$. I dealt with George at RDS. He is very helpful and prompt with shipping. Actually I am shifting all of my parts purchases to RDS since they are much closer to me than the other parts houses.

<------ Another vote for George. RDS for sure.

Have a dirty joke and swear at him a few times for the best 'deal'.

I am hopefully taking my 5 speed out of my 95 and putting in a automatic if you are interested. I can't imagine how much it would cost to ship from Richmond to the left coast.

rob i am very interested, can you tell me the basics about the tranny ie mileage and general condition.

and do you guys know if its just a simple drop in upgrading from the lt77 to the r380 (which im assuming yours is rob) or is there something special i would need to do?

I will ask Drew at Rovertym. It only has 47000 miles on it. I don't know the condition of the tranny but I take pretty good care of my autos, except for when I hit a tree and don't get the front end fixed.
