Magnecor. I think any performace gains from a rover V8 are neglible

I agree, and I agree. I run Magnecor's in two of my rigs and they are great--in that they deliver sparks to the engine. I still go slow up hills--don't ever expect changing wires to give you much if any of a noticably increase in a D90 except over wires that not functioning properly. I just purchased a set of "racing" red magnecors off e-bay (used, they were Hren's) and replaced my perfectly good stock wires (which I had to switch to my RRC) and did not notice the slightest differenct. FYI/FWIW

I use the Magnecor Blue wires, as they're the biggest to fit (barely) in the stock looms. When I switched to new plugs and the Magnecors, I noticed a definite improvement in idle smoothness and "felt" like I had a slightly discernable power increase, however small. It's hard to say if it was plugs or wires, but I'm happy.

Thanks guys. I'll get some Magnacors.

What type of plugs are the defacto "bestest of the bestest"?

Wicks, I recently went with Magnecor 8.5s and stock Champions. I was previously using Bosch wires and Platinum plugs. The idle seems more stable and performance is as good as it's ever been. Could be my imagination, but it seems like a good combination.

BTW, the 8.5 wires fit the stock wire retainers just fine.

Magnacor 8.5 and NGK.
The wire kit should come with custom wire retainers from Magnacor. At least my three sets did.
I had Bosh plugs but they would never last long. So I went with NGK. Great plugs. They have lasted longer than Bosh ever did.
