Wow, 21K miles or not, that thing is rough and needs ALOT of TLC. There are alot of Defenders that come and go on these classifieds in much better shape for the same or even less money. I doubt you will get any sympathy for your asking price around here, this community is made up of knowledgeable Land Rover owners, not average Joes..
"YOU COULD DRIVE THIS TRUCK FOR YEARS AND STILL MAKE MONEY $$$$"
I'd like to hear the logic behind this one..

Why don't you just post the price you want? Let someone decide if they want it or not. If you let people make offers, of course they are going to be low.

When I see this in the for sale section the head line says 23500 takes it. So, that's the price he wants?

hi
are you a dealer ? where are you located ?
Is it possible that this truck will not pass MD inspection, due to the rust ? so you are hoping to sell it on this board... or will this truck be bought from your dealership... I assume it is a dealership by looking at the pictures....

I think David paid too much for this D-90.
Low mileage or not, it's not a $20K truck. More like $8-10K...
How 'bout some undercarriage pics?

He will only find out it is not worth what he is asking, he set the starting bid at $21,500, but no reserve. :rolleyes

so we know david will take $21,500 and $23,500 was the asking price.
so figure david needs to make at least $3000 on the truck david most likely paid around $16,000.
david want to blow it out for $13,000 its only worth that because its got the badger top. : ) although you are missing a window. : (
Good luck with the sale!

It's hard to believe that vehicle has so much damage for only 21,000 miles. Someone beat the hell out of it.
"My rover shop thinks $3500-4,500 should make this truck a movie star including body, mechanical, and interior. depending how far you take it"
Either that is just an all out lie, or it is seriously time to get a new rover shop. Unless the "movie star" they're referring to is from Dawn of the Dead.

I was a serious buyer for this truck..I had a tech from Land Rover MD go take a look at it for me and report back to me. His opinion was stay away...easily $12-15K in repairs to make it a nice looking truck.

No doubt.... I'll bet the undercarriage is a POS... brittle and rusty. Best of luck to the buyer and I hope you don't immediately have to swap the frame.

I was going to post a siting of this truck last week. I drove past the car lot and saw it in the back. I was looking at a TR6 he had on the lot. kinda makes me think I will look somewhere else. I was somewhat excited it was the first defender I have seen since leaving CA. a year ago.

Yup you guessed it...the undercarrige was a mess..plenty of bad spots. All bolts were so rusted that they would have to be cut off to change/replace things. Shame as the engine and tranny were in great shape.
