Got a fault code #26 this weekend. It went away and did not return. I looked all over the web, but couldn't find a reference for a Land Rover fault #26. (my truck is a 93 3.9 D110)

Other makes (jag) have a #26 referring to injectors. Considering that I had a one-time-only #15 (fuel thermistor) last week, I'm going to go over my injector wiring harness and clean up the connectors...

But any clue to the #26 would be great!

Doug, I think a 26 indicates a secret desire for a Chevy V8

Check this out: http://www.carelect.demon.co.uk/rrind.html

Dunno which engine spec yours is. I would guess the same one that's in the Disco of the same year?

Both the Rangie and Disco. My unit is a 14CU as both are. Interesting is says to ALWAYS change the engine coolant temperature sensor. I want to go over my whole efi wiring harness with contact cleaner this weekend....

Make sure to read the debug checklists they've got links to there as well...both as they might be different. It spoke specifically about your misfure around 3K or whatever.
