That is a great looking truck...with a great price. If I had not just purchased my SW, I would have bought that instead. Good Luck with the sale.

1997 Defender 90 still for sale - D90Jim@Gmail.com

D-90.com Members:

Thanks for your interest in my Defender and your help with selling my truck located in San Francisco, CA. I treasure this truck and want it to go to another Land Rover fanatic. My dream is to buy it back one day.

The reason for this sale is my wife and I are expecting our first child this summer (but not twins ;)). We only have one indoor garage parking space. You know the drill.

I have received almost a hundred inquiries for this Defender 90, so I apologize for the delay in responding. I have some serious interest from dealerships, but I would like to be able to sell it directly to another private owner.

I am happy to arrange a test drive and inspection for any serious potential buyers. Anyone want to visit Northern California? Summer drive along historic Highway 1 on the Pacific coast? Would love for it to stay in the D-90.com clan if possible.

Thanks!

I`ve seen this truck and it really is sexy. You wouldn`t know it ever left the showroom floor if it weren`t for looking at the odometer. Good luck with the sale.

Damn, someone at D-90.com scoop this thing up! I was trying to figure out if I could afford to float this one, while I tried to sell my own (wish I had more dough). I've seen the Copley website (see post above), and they would probably sell this rig for at least mid $40K.

Update #2: 1997 Defender 90 Soft-top - 32,000 miles - $34,500 - D90Jim@Gmail.com (D90Jim@Gmail.com)

Tons of interest. Lots of emails (all replied to now). More pics posted. No solid confirmed buyer, yet.

I know many of you guys are outside the State of California, so...

Special Offer:
If a D-90.com member wants to get serious about this truck, my wife and I will put up the buyer and a guest at a nice place here in San Francisco on us. I would like to make this a fun and exciting experience. I want to buy this Defender back from you in a few years anyway :). There are some incredible places to drive in the Bay Area before you head home. Take home a Defender from your vacation.

Answers to a few basic questions:
Automatic Transmission - I believe all 1997 Defender 90s are automatics. Has A/C as well, which is an option.
Original Engine - has 32,100 original miles on it. Runs incredible and smooth. Great sound w/ Borla exhaust.
Inspections - I am happy to assist with any inspections you like. There are many LR experts in SF.
Shipping - I can help with any reputable shipping company to get this car to you in pristine condition.
Trades - I dont really need anything, sorry. I dont have space for another vehicle (or anything else).

Anyone can set up a time to see this truck in person in San Francisco. Test drives are welcome, but please no tire kickers. I know who you are, I was one for many years myself.

Have a great weekend! ~Jim D90Jim@Gmail.com

The fact that this D90 is still available is downright ridiculous. As I said previously, I have seen it, and the truck is better than new. At this price, I`d have expected people to be all over it.

this weekend the wife and I our going to see a defender and let her test drive it to make sure she actually likes it and will fit her space needs for work. If its a go , id like to think wed pick this one up. the seller took alot of time and sent me some emails and specs on the trucks.

I appreciate his time and think this truck would be a nice addition to the stable.

SOLD – 1997 Defender 90 NAS ST - SOLD

This Defender 90 is SOLD to a proud new owner: d-90 source member Jason from New Hampshire.

Congratulations to Jason for joining the club with his first Defender. The forum helped inform him and take the plunge into Land Rover ownership. Wish him well if you see him in his british racing green D90 in the New England area.

Thanks for everyone’s emails, interest, and help. I still have an extra soft top and some additional accessories. The wife wants it all gone asap. I will list them in the “For Sale – Parts” section on the d-90.com site.

Thank you to the d-90 source forum, I have enjoyed this site for years. I hope to be a Defender owner again in a few years when my baby son gets a little older.

Kind Regards,
Jim
