Hi everyone, I just picked up a 94 D90 that I am about to start a mild restore on, and I have a quick question. The doors have some pretty bad rust in the recessed door handle, where it looks like water just sits in there. Now I could repair it, and have it happen again in several years, or get new doors and have it happen to those eventually. But one thing I am curious about is that I have seen in the LR mags that the new 90's and 110's have doors with handles on them that look more like the handles on the DiscoIIs'. So is it possible to order some of these european (for lack of better words) doors to fit our NAS vehicles. Also if it is possible, does anyone know a vendor that I could order them from. One last thing would I be able to use the same lock cylinder, because I would want to keep just one key.

thanks
-Stuart

George might have some. He just got a few containers full of goodies lately... http://www.roversdownsouth.com/body.htm. You have to call to find out though, not everything is on his site.

You might also consider getting some 2 piece doors. Oh, dunno if you have a ST or a SW.

The doors with the Disco II looking handles are found on the station wagons. The soft tops had the doors like yours with the "sliding windows" that were removable.

George (RDS) would be your best bet for what you are looking for.

I'm speaking of the more modern doors (with the modern handle), but in two pieces like the series rovers, so that you can take the top half off and have very open feel.

I think they were called "African spec" or something, fitted for 90s, 110s, etc.
