View Full Version : 2.8 Powerstroke with built Ashcroft ZF auto trans package!!!!!

2.8 HS powerstroke diesel engine and an Ashcroft custom built ZF transmission using the internals from a HP24 ZF transmission to better withstand the power of the 2.8. The package is new and has the transmission adapter from M&D engineering to mate the ZF to the 2.8.
This is the waste gate version of the PS engine.

Everything is here in CA.
$10k.

That engine did not come from M&D. Let me see a picture of the Turbo. I think that is the TGV turbo. The TGV turbo has a wastegate as well. Is there a installtion kit with it? Or just a plate?

For me it is a one time thing. It belongs to a customer and we have since changed plans.........

The engine is NOT from M&D. Just the V8 auto trans adapter and torque converter. The trans is direct from Ashcroft.

The engine is the waste gate version not the varible rate turbo.

Any thoughts on separating the engine and trans? I'm not willing to part with my manual...

I would seperate if I have buyers for each, but the whole benefit of this package is the engine and trans together.
The V8 R380 is different than the 300tdi/2.8 r380.

The adapter plate on that engine will make it work with a V-8 R380.

How about the flywheel? Can you use the V8 one?

No you need the diesel flywheel. And clutch, pressure plate.

I'm not at all interested in the transmission, but if you find a buyer for it, let me know what you'd want for the engine.

I may be interested in the transmission/bellhousing/torque converter/adapter plate.

What bellhousing and torque converter are on this? 4.0 v-8? 4.6 v-8?
