Well, I guess the fuel pump is ok but this thing is not. I'm sure that's why my truck doesn't want to start but what is this and where can I find a replacement or can I fix it.

Yousef, let me check under my rear body tonight. I may have left it attached, can't quite remember. If I still have it, you can have it for the shipping cost.

from the pic, it looks like the tire rubbed what ever that is and broke it...

Anybody know what that is, I am totally stumped.

The tire did more damage then that. I broke the remote reservoir valve, and bent the crap out of the body. The new trailing arms should fix the rear steer.

Hmm, looks like you broke your discobobulator Yousef! You're going to need 50cc's of beer, Stat! just to cope with the up and coming bill!
Seriously, it looks like some type of proportioning unit? I don't think I've ever noticed it on my truck either! I've got a couple e-manuals at home and I'll try and see if I can find it Yousef.

Hi Yousef
it is the active-carbon-filter for the fuel tank vent system.
In the hose there is a plastic tube there is broken of the filter housing...With glue you can put it on the filter housing again;)

You wouldn't believe what that costs new.
I thought I had a problem with mine but when I got a price for it I kept looking instead of just changing parts till it was fixed.

Anders,
Isn't that the Green's V8 88 from West Coast British? Which gives me the segway to throw out my NVTR challenge again -- April 29th, Lovelock NV -- be there or be square.

Anders hit it... It's the carbon filter for the fuel tank vent.
Don't buy a new one... It's going to need relocating any way..
We'll glue in some new "extension tubes" and put it somewhere else..

Yousef--
I think I still have an extra under the house. If you need it, you can have it. I will call you in the A.M. or e-mail you tonight.

Found it! Mine, however, has the far LEFT tube busted at the same place, right at the nipple. Would not be hard to fix. If you have more damage than just that nipple, (he he he...I said nipple!) you can have this one. If all you did was bust that pipe, it would be just as easy to fix yours. Let me know if you need it--it is yours.
