110 Tdi - 255/85/16

Anyone running 255/85/16's on a TDI equipped 110? Was there a noticeable effect on gearing? Also, anyone have a photo of this tire at full articulation in the rear - my 110 has a secondary fuel tank in the rear wheel well and I am concerned about rubbing.... I have OME heavies front and rear for 3" lift....

my 110 has 2.8 in it, 5 speed and 255/85's. going from stock michelin's, the bfg 255's helped a bit to lower my rpm slightly to a better range on the highway. not a big difference though.

no full articulation photo, but I dont' think you are going to have any clearance problem for that tank.
