The D-90 Source takes no responsibility for the accuracy of the data or information posted by members in the forum and visitors are highly recommended to consult with a certified Land Rover technician before trying anything found here. General Member Guidelines
Guidelines:
Multiple user accounts are not permitted by individuals. Members are allowed one account per person, with a possible exception for Vendor accounts if required.
Please be respectful to other users and avoid personal attacks. Respect constructive input or opinions of other forum members just as you would like yours to be.
Debates, cross discussions, and disagreements are bound to happen. Please try to remain calm should you find yourself in a heated thread.
Trolling, flaming, and attacks on other Members or Vendors, will not be tolerated.
Please do not hi-jack other members Technical or Classified threads.
Please pick the most appropriate forum to start your topic.
Vendors, please do not post or distribute any forms of solicitation outside of "The Vendors Loft" except if directly responding to a request you can assist with. Vendors are free to advertise what ever Land Rover related material they wish to promote inside the Vendor Loft.
Please do not upload, post or transmit any content that is obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated (keep it under "R rated"), hateful, threatening, or otherwise violate any laws including copyrighted materials.
When posting something in the Classified section, please be sure to include a price, description, location, and pictures if applicable.
NO eBay, Craigslist, or other similar type of listings are to be posted in the "For Sale - Vehicles" or "For Sale - Parts" unless it is your own personal listing or auction. If its an auction you need to provide the auction's link, what the reserve price is if you do not have a "Buy Now" option, and that you will close the auction early if a D-90 Source member wishes to buy it right away, regardless of the current auction standings. Auctions without reserves or "Buy Now" options are not to be listed at all and listings that do not fully meet all requirements will be deleted without warning. If you come across a post or listing that you think the rest of the gang would like to see, please post it in the Misc section.
If you see a message that you feel violates these guidelines, please use the "Report this post" link, located at the bottom right corner of the post in question, and appropriate action will be taken after review.
All content, pictures, forum postings (public and private messages), and email communications sent, submitted or posted to the Site/site owner/admins/moderators, become/are the property of The D-90 Source. By making such submissions, you acknowledge that you are in agreement to these conditions, that this policy supersedes any privacy policy your particular communication may attach to your communications, that you grant The D-90 Source a nonexclusive, royalty-free, right to reproduce, use, modify, publish, adapt, translate, create derivative/promotional works from, for display or sale.
Being a privately owned site, The D-90 Source reserves the right to monitor, review, screen, modify, edit, and/or delete, without notice, content from the active Forum's public and private message system that has been reported, suspected, or determined to be as (but not limited to): obscene, illegal, inappropriate, threatening, defamatory, invading privacy, containing potential viruses, mass mailings, chain letters, or any form of "spam" or deemed as such by the site Administrator. The D-90 Source also reserves the right if needed or feels warranted to, terminate, suspend, and/or impact any members account for violations of these guidelines or any other reason, without notice, and if need be, as well as restrict access of other site services.
Forum Features Quick Reference
Private Messages:
There is a default 100 message storage limit for the private messages folders. This includes both the Inbox and Sent Items box combined. When you reach the limit, you will not be able to receive any more messages until you delete some. If you would like to save a PM, at the bottom of each message, there are 3 option on how to save it locally.
Forum Hints:
To help try and reduce repeat threads, when creating a new thread, after typing the subject line, you should see a button that says "Check for pre-existing similar topics". If you click that, it will run a quick search of forums topics, open a new window, and display the results on any existing topics that closely match your Subject from which you can review the existing threads to see if they closely match what you were going to originally post. If it does, simply post in that thread rather than creating a new one if possible.
Hot-Linking (using the IMG code) of pictures from other sites, is disabled for Members and Vendors in all forums regardless of what the sub-forum rules box may indicate. It is only enabled for Admin accounts, for administrative use of linking pictures already within the site.
When posting in the "Defender & General 4x4 Technical Discussions" section, please try to stay on topic. Helpful topics/posts in that section will be used in FAQ section and its just less that needs to be weeded out.
If you use a pop-up blocker, you should disable it for use here on The D-90 Source as there are some functions that are presented in pop-up format. There is no advertising pop-ups or software of any kind used on the site, so you wont need it enable here anyway.
If you subscribe to threads and receive the email notifications, you can not reply to the thread notifications via email when someone responds to your post or a thread you are subscribed. The system is not set up like a mailing list BBS and does not accept incoming replies to posts. You need to return to the thread in order for a reply to a topic to be posted or email the person directly. They will not post and get dumped as they hit the server. I have been getting a number of notices of these kinds of replies recently and the people you were trying to post/email back to will never get the message.
Revisions to the guidelines:
These guidelines are subject to revision at anytime without prior notice and members continued use of any part of the forum constitutes acceptance of such changes. Please review these every now and then.
Thank you for your cooperation and enjoy the site!
