Is there any difference between the 94/95 and 97 alpine bow?

I dont think there is a difference on alpine bars for the 3 years.

Explain what you guys mean by "alpine bow" I might be able to help if I knew what you were talking about.

The alpine bow is the cast aluminum piece that runs above the windscreen and the soft top attaches to. Hard tops do not have one, and they are one of the more rare pieces to try and find. I have one even though I have a hard top "just in case" I ever decide to go soft because I know it would be tough to find one.

I think he is talking about this one.

That's what I was thinking it was too, Yousef, but from Chris' description it sounds like it's the part up front that the top slips under and snaps on the ends.

If I'm thinking of the right part, I'm nearly positive it's the same for '95/97 and pretty sure it's the same for the '94's that were fitted with Besttops.

The Alpine bar is what Yousef has pictured. The header bar is what is bolted to the top of the windshield.
The soft top slides into the grove in the front of the header bar. I have seen them painted black and raw aluminum

regardless, I am sure the parts are the same for a '95 & '97, and would guess the '94 is the same as well.

Thanks for clearing that up Ron, I thought that calling the bar between the alpine windows the "alpine bar" made sense.

That is pretty funny--I always wondered why it (the header bar) was called the alpine bow, now I know! If you can't find one, I am sure you could make one easy enough--Keith could probably bend one up for you...
