That's actually a buddy of mine. I have not talked to him in a year or so, but I heard about this. Kind of a shock to see it on ebay. i actually heard about it from my dad who said it was on the news shown on fire. Pretty wild. Not sure what happened. I heard he went into a store or bar or something. So the truck was parked and he came out to it en fuego!

I know the truck very well. I flew to Colorado Springs with him when he bought it and then drove it home. It was actually an early 90 that has been in magazines, I can not remember exactly what it was used for, but it had stickers on it as it was used for something similar to the great divide expedition, but I know that is not the case. Not sure what it was used for. Anyway, it is set up pretty good, as far as drive line goes. 4:10's, arb's. stage 3 springs. Rock ware bumper. Frame should not be rusty. Maybe only surface rust as I saw it not long ago and it was fine.

Will be interesting to see where it goes.

This freaks me out. I leave my truck all the time with my dog in it. If I came out and it was on fire with my dog in it I would lose my mind.

Tyler

It was probably used by someone on a 'bordertoborder' trip, they were big into stickers.

That is a classic tee pee cut on the hood. The fireman used a rotary saw to cut around the hood release to open the hood to access the engine.
Just an observation in case someone was wondering. :) I doubt anyone was. LOL

Jeff-

I know it was not border to border, it was an actual Land Rover event. I will try and dig up some old images to see what it was for sure.

TylerThe problem is that when they put water on it to put out the fire it instantly rusts everything! We had a fire in our house years ago and everything just rusted and seized from the steam. My mom's sewing machine was completely seized and it was nowhere near the flames...even the stainless steel kitchen sink was completely rusted!

The rust should just be a surface rust and dealt with pretty easily I would think. There arent too many other options for putting out a fire than using water.

It is a 94 ford green 90 (used to be black with the stainless package and leather seats) fast back set up very well. It was at MAR in 04.

He bought it from Jesse's sister in Texas, since Jesse is in Austrailia.
