How to remove radio in 97 SW?

It's mounted vertically in the cubby between the seats. It's gotten so gunked up the only way to clean it will be to remove it. How do I go about doing that, without breaking something?

On my RR radio I took two pieces of coathanger wire and slid them down the side of the radio to release the retaining clips. Two lengths about 6" long should do it. Or make a ptch fork out of coat hanger kind of like this: Worked for me. D90 could be a little differant

That did not turn out how I wanted it. Anyway bend it into a two pronged fork.
