I read somewhere that there was a "longthrow" and "shortthrow" R380. Can anyone verify?

Its the length of the shift lever. Disco's have the short throw, defenders the long.

Okay, I thought it might have been something inside the gear box?

There are "long shaft" and "short shaft" defender R380s. The long shaft is what you have in a NAS D90 V8. The short shaft is a replacement for the LT77 found behind 200Tdi and 2.5 N/a trucks. The 300Tdi R380 is different still as is the disco as is the P38a one etc.

Does anyone know how many manual Discos were brought over and what years? I have actually only seen one.
