You cannot galvanize them. They are aluminum. I don't know what you saw, but just take a magnet to them and you can see for yourself.
You can remove the seal from the windscreen by first spraying down both sides liberally with water/soap and starting at the split very carefully easing it out. Or just shatter the glass and pull it right off.

Totally--I completely misread your post. I thought you were going to galvanize the door/windscreen as I combined both the top and the bottom of your post while swigging some nice IPA. Yummy. At least I hope I answered your windscreen question! ;-) Someone within the last year had a post about replacing the aluminum skin on the door with stainless steel--you might try a search on that.
Also, and something that I am currenly looking at, you may consider reinforcing the vertical members of the doorframe so that the flex is less so the top of the door stays shut better.
best regards,

Matt,
About two months ago I rebuilt the driverside door frame on my truck. The window is easy to remove with no damage.

I took the door off. Removed the interior panel. Removed the glass. I did not remove the skin from the frame. I had alot of rust on the outer steel frame. I peeled back the aluminium skin and used a Sawzall to remove the rusted out section. Took square tubing of the apropriate size and rebuilt the frame. Kept the original skin.

You cant pull a skin and re-use it.
This book has instruction on how to do it:

I reused it. Doesn't look that good but I reused it. My truck is a 20 footer. Looks good from 20 feet.
