I'm interested in how people mounted their wing top protectors. I just bought a pair and I am contemplating my mounting options.
Do anyone just screw them to the top of the wings? Did you rivet or nutsert? Any reason you would need to remove them for cleaning? Does it really get *that* dirty underneath?

Will,
They should have a rubber padding that goes underneath. If you got genuine ones, there should also be pre-drilled holes and nuts and bolts that go through the wing. The padding keeps any foreign matter from getting underneath. If they aren't genuine, I'd suggest returning them and getting genuines. They are curved in the front and on the outer edge to match the wing top perfectly.

Just screw them on. You will be fine. If you want the Genuine padding, stuff as many $5 bills under there as you can and then screw them down tight.

I found some padding for mine in Home Depot....
Screwed them in with sheet metal screws.

You can use Sikaflex or similar seam sealent on the non original wing tops, I didn't bother with mine.

Oh, I rivetted mine on as well. No-one can unscrew them then!:grin
