I beleive they are the same but I am not sure. These are the new style hinges that were developed to correct corrosion and door sag.

Jonathan, did you install these yet? I got new hinges from Greorge @RDS a while back that look just like this. I installed them a while back, but haven't driven my truck much since. I had "borrowed" the mirrors for my 110, and finally got around to replacing them on the D90 today when I realized that these hinges have a much thicker edge around the door side mounting holes, and as such the top hinge doesn't fit under the door capping - mine is sitting on the edge of the capping.

Not sure if this is going to be a problem or not, but wanted to know if others experienced the same fit issue.

Charles - you need to shave the capping slightly. I used a dremel.

More painting than I wanted to do, damn. I'll think about trimming the hinge first.

Oh and I took great pains to clean, prep, prime my hinges before painting them with good quality automative paint, and they have already chipped badly after one install/remove cycle. I *hate* messing with the hinges on these trucks.

Yeah, those yellow hinges have already been replaced with a set of G4 orange ones I had laying around. The paint was just too thick and it cracked. Next time I'm airbrushing the color into the holes so I can get an appropriately thin layer of paint. That, and I think I'll try some mylar washers.

I wasnt interested in grinding away a chunk of the hinge, I was worried it would look like a kludge.

I have a '94 with the ST doors and original hinges. The hinge pin on one of 'em broke due to corrosion so I had to drill it out. Then I ground the hinge down so I could fit a mylar washer in between, and took a stainless steel bolt, chopped off the head and pressed it in as the new hinge pin. Looks and works very good, except they're not painted body color yet, and I couldn't find any ss posidrive bolts that I was willing to pony up the cash for. I also put some POR 15 on it to prevent the rust.

Lots of work, but ECR wouldn't sell me their's, so I fabbed this up m'self. I'm expecting the other three to follow suit soon, and I'll have to do it all over again. Sounds like the ones from Safarirover would save me some time.

I have never installed them on a ST. According to the post above they will work. So far I have sold about 25 sets of these and no complaints yet.

Have genuine ones also but they are double the price.

Well, this is for a POE that has the removable door tops like the ST's. The genuine ones don't have the little mylar dealy to stop the metal to metal nashing and nastiness, and these do right?

There is a plastic washer piece that goes behind the hinge (if that is what you are speaking of). I think the important part is a new material covering the castings that helps prevent corrosion. I also understand that the hinges wear better to prevent door sag over the long run.

Actually, I'm talking about two washers that go on the hinge pin and sit sandwiched between each side of the hinge. When the door is opened, the door side of the hinge rotates about the bulkhead side but with the mylar washer in between, the hinges don't grind metal to metal.

Its not mylar, but there is a isolator in there. Clearly visible on the new hing.
