Open House at Rover Hybrids
featuring
Holt Webb's Vanishing America Winnebago and Land Rover Defender

Rover Hybrids is having an open house/launch party this coming Saturday Dec 22, 2007 from 11:00AM to 4:00PM.

Rover Hybrids recently completed a Cummins 4bt diesel engine conversion into a Land Rover NAS D90 along with a straight vegetable oil conversion for Holt Webb of Vanishing America (www.Vanishingamerica.net).

You may have seen Holt on TV or read about his photography project in newspapers and magazines as he travels around the country in his eye-catching motor home. We'll be showcasing conversions on Holt's Land Rover and motor home, both of which feature a newly installed SVO system from Rover Hybrids.

We'll also be serving up fresh barbecue, and Shane and Holt will be on hand to answer questions about the vehicles, the conversions, and the Vanishing America project in general.

Some of the D90 features:
Cummins 4BT 4cyl turbo diesel engine(130hp and 340lbs torque)
NV4500 transmission
Two tank Straight Vegetable Oil fuel conversion system consisting of a custom Aluminum side mounted fuel tank.

RV features:
Two tank Straight Vegetable Oil conversion system.
On board filtration system utilizing centrifuge filtering.
On board collection system that can tranfer to the D90 for mobile collection.
On board fueling station to fill clean WVO into the RV‘s, the D90’s or any other vegetable oil powered vehicle.

Rover Hybrids is a small shop about 2 hours north of Sacramento in Redding, CA. We specialize in Custom Land Rovers and Straight Vegetable Oil conversions.

Awesome! If I was still in the area (or even on the same continent) I'd be the first one to drop by. I was curious to see who would finally have you do the 4-cyl Cummins swap for them. I bet a lot of people here are going to be very interested in this.

One big problem though: NO PIX!

Was the input gear re hardened in some way? Is the Main shaft a stock unit or a re cut one?

Thanks

Headamage was involved with one of the first of these type conversions. The Clark saga.

What ever happened with Clark?

He is getting his life back together... the Yeti mess was not good for anyone. It was really too bad that it didn't work out :(

Yeti Engineering was the name of the company before it went bankrupt.
