I have two question for 110 owners and would like to hear from you.
First, how does the AC system works, is it any better then the regular one's found in the D90's. Does it use the same heater setup as the D90 or is it different. Dash picture will be nice also.
Second, does anyone have any detailed pictures for the CDK??? D110. And I'm also looking for some detailed pictures of the silver crew cab (I think it's called the fly fishing).

Hmmmm I love the flyfisher! Did they use adapters to fit the Hurricane wheels?
Who's roll cage is that?
Anymore pictures?

I'm not very impressed with the CKD 110, but simply love the FlyFisher.
Randy, do you have anymore pictures.

Over on www.sclr.org roverboard there are a ton of pics posted by one of the members of a CKD inside and out. Posted under Spied 2003 110

You know there is a gallery of the FlyFisher here on the site, right?
Also, Mike Slade has a huge gallery of pictures of the CKD on his site. He was very kind to allow me to grab the pictures to use here on this site but its still one of my backlog of updates still waiting to get processed.

What was the asking price on that Flyfisher? $70-80K?
For a low mile 110, '93, prices are in the 59-69K range (30K miles).
Anyone see that Rover Accessories also has their Camel 90 for sale on LRX? Only $49K. :grin

If I recall he was going to list the FlyFisher for that price area, yes.

Hmmm, I can't seem to find it now. But I swear it was there two days ago. Maybe it sold or they pulled the ad. Either way, it was nice looking. 300 tdi, camel yellow, all modded up. $49K firm, as I recall.
It's a bummer their date restriction doesn't work for searching. You can't seem to go back more than 60 or so days. So I'm guessing it was placed before that.

Yousef, I owned NAS D110 200/500 for a couple of years. The A/C is weaker than the one on my 1997 D90, but it worked as it was intended to (couldn't cool me off here in sunny Georgia).
The controls were different as well. Not sure how the heater matrix is different from the 90 models.

Prices of NAS 110s are not anywhere near that high. Do a search on www.lrx.com and you will see them from $39K to $58K. I've seen them go (fixer trucks -- high mileage and nothing that can't be done in your garage with some time on your hands) as low as $27K. Just check the LRX board every week or two and make some offers.

Well, I guess I'll stick with the D90 A/C. I'm planning to start building the 110 in a couple of weeks or so. :)

What is going on with the D90? Are you still keeping it?

Yes I'm keeping it :) I'm building a 110 from the ground up.

You should do a theme D110......say.......NINJAS!
PS Now that I've had time to think it over... I don't think that would be too hot of an idea.

I think you should do a 111. 110's are so... '1993'.

Looks good. I think it will look better if they had a custom roll cage built that looks like the NAS cage.

Yousef, I have to say, if I was building another truck, I would be doing a 110 crew cab p/u like the flying fish truck. We will see what comes next for me? My dad wants a truck now.

If I had the means, I would do a 100" Defender project.
Awesome link, thanks Art.

I was in between the Crewcab and the 5 door wagon, but it looks like I'm going with the crewcab. I will probably build a 5 door wagon after the crewcab is done.
I guess you could never have enough Defenders :)

Yousef,
Did you end up buying the chassis yet? I know that the current owner sure would like to get it out of his driveway.
Personally, I don't think you should build a 110, but my reasons are purely selfish (namely, I want that chassis).
Thanks,
Nathan

If you want it, buy it! It's not like that's the only frame he can get :)
I need to finish what's in my garage right now before I move to the next one :)

It'll be a while before I can buy it. If you're looking to get started, I say "go for it". I've got to get that other project out of the "skunkworks" before I can think about starting something new.
Like you said, there are plenty more chassis where that one came from.

The A/C in my D110 is a totally different setup from the same compressor on.... in comparison to my D90 l995. The D110 has the exchanger in the common heater box hanging off of the fire wall on the passenger side. The heater antifreeze hose switch, vaccum activated, is junk.... mine failed a couple of years ago and I replaced it with a manual valve and cable. Once you make sure yours is not leaking hot antifreeze into the heater box while your AC is running the unit runs marginally for really hot weather... I've
even wrapped the inlet and outlet AC hoses with heat relecting insulation to the box and find the D110 AC system pretty marginal... Much less the capacity than the D90 under the dash exchanger system....
