View Full Version : Defender Pin interest?

Last year I had some pins made up for So Cal Land Rover. They turned out pretty good IMHO. The patches are a great idea but I am wondering if a ceramic pin might be something of interest?
Here are a few pics of the pins for the club. Any ideas on a Defender pin design?

Hey Kevin,
Thanks for doing that. I got one from Hovik and like it.

Thanks Chris.
Just to clarify it would be completely new design, not the SCLR pin. I am kicking around some design ideas now.

A pin just like the patches would be cool!

Yup, I am sure we could figure that out. I could send a pic over to Kevin, or a patch to see about getting it done.

That would save me some time and effort :) If you have a clean picture of the patch design I could take it to the pin place and get the ball rolling.

i'd take a couple. Maybe a profile shot like the SCLR pin but with defender owner on it instead??

I like that also but I dont know if it would be OK to "borrow" the design. I'm going to look around a bit for other designs before I head to the pin place. I might just use the patch design.

I'd be in for 2 or 3!
Depending on the design :)
D90 Source logo would be cool,or anything clean and nice like the sample posted.

Side view or head on.
I can have this picture cleaned up for the pin. It would be B&W.
If a side view 90, 110, 130? It could be in the shape of the vehicle and multi colored. Red, green, blue with white roof.
Any suggestions? I still may use the patch design but thought something different would be cool too.
Follow-up Post:
Here is another option that would not get in the way of the 90, 110, 130 deal.
A pin of the Land Rover Badge. I could also change the wording a bit on the badge if someone comes up with something clever.

The beauty of the front shot is that it applies to all Defender owners. Not just 90's, 110's, 130's, etc..
That is the reason why I didn't put 90 or 110 on the patch too. It applies to everyone who has a Defender.

I think what Shawn say about using the front makes sense. How much would these Pins cost. I think I would be in for a couple.......to go with my Patches!!!!

I really like the pin idea.
I joined Southern Cal Land Rover and got a club tee shirt. what a waste. thing was massive - Stuffed it in the back of a closet as I had no idea what to do with it.

I am thinking anywhere between $7-10 depending on how many are made.
I will work on a front view design.
