This vehicle is currently in my workshop in the UK. She is available for export.
The body is in very good condition, with only minor dents in one front wing (see pic).
This vehicle is a 110 van body, she has 3 seats in the front, the rear bed has the spare wheel (similar to the late series rear wheel holder). The vehicle has a complete checkerplate kit fitted. She is Right Hand Drive.
The interior is in ok condition and would benefit from the addition of later style seats.(she is fitted with series 3 style seats)
I have spent alot of time and money getting her into the condition she is in now.
I have completed the folowing work:-
Totally rebuilt 2.286ltr 5 bearing petrol engine, with new clutch and clutch master cylinder.
New battery, new coil, 4x new hub caps.
New rear wheel cylinders and brake shoes.
New rear X-member with long chassis extentions, New o/s front out rigger.
All chassis rust removed and chassis painted with anti rust paint.
All rust on bulkhead removed, repaired and painted.
She is offered with a full 1 years UK mot test, this test is a certificate of roadworthyness issued by the British Ministry of Transport.
She is probably the best 1983, 110 van available.
I am looking for $12,000, not including shipping which is $1848 from Southampton, UK to Baltimore, USA.
I have currently a selection of series 3's, 110's and 127's which are available for export to the USA and Canada.
Any questions or for more pictures please email me at julian@globallandrovers.f9.co.uk or visit my website at www.globallandrovers.com (http://www.globallandrovers.com/)
I have successfully shipped an 1983 110 into the USA in 2008, the first one arrived in Tachoma on Jan 2nd. I have two more vehicles here for cleints which are due to ship by the end of the month.

Point is you want to import it with its original engine.

If you want it converted to 300tdi, we can do that, last one we did cost £5000 all incuding R380 gearbox ($10000), using a low mileage take out unit putting in a new clutch, reaease arm, bearing and new belts and pipes.
Happy to do this for you, Just add it to the sales price. Alternativly you could buy the vehicle and put a cheap GM diesel in it yourself.

You can't ship a vehicle with any loose parts if you ship it ro/ro which is the type/price shipping Julian references. To put a 300 tdi in the back, the truck would have to come in via a container ship. At that point you should load the whole container with goodies for all of us....I'm all for it !

the LR 110 that went to Tachoma was converted to 200tdi, it was a csw, it was also converted to push button doors. All up cost so far on that vehicle is $25,000, an I know the owner is planing to re build the chassis on it. in this example he brought the vehicle, sent it to us for the conversion and shipping.

Julian:
By "Tachoma", do you mean the Port of Tacoma, west coast USA? How does that work?
(Ship to US east coast and then piggyback by rail/ truck across US, or go around through Panama direct to Seattle/Tacoma?)
This is the first one of these posts I have ever seen referencing Rover shipping from Southampton to the west coast, USA.
(Or is there a Tachoma somewhere on the east coast and I just don't know my US geography?)

I can respray this vehicle any colour!, Also I am happy to remove the hard top and supply it as a Soft Top with or with out side windows. I can also fit bench seats in the back if required.
I have a friend in Maryland, so to facilitate an easier deal I am happy to supply this vehicle landed with a Maryland title at extra cost.

I've always wanted a 130 crew cab tdi, instead I have the American version. I'd be real interested to hear if you could make that happen. I'd even take a 110 Hi-cap.
I tried PM'ing you about your 90 but your box is full.

Even though I am not in the market, I'd like to see pictures. If you need somewhere to host them, let me know and I can do so for free. In general it's friendlier on the internet to not send emails via email (dues to their size).

I have bills to prove I have spent over £1000 getting the work done on the Chassis.
Follow-up Post:
The black is 'chassis black', the rear crossmember and 2 out riggers had to be replaced for the MOT test to be issued.
Before the chassis black was sprayed onto the chassis and the axles the parts were rubbed down to remove any loose rust.
The vehicle is now in excellent condition for an original 25 yr old vehicle. I can re chassis it if a client wants, but quite frankly there's at least another 15 years left in this chassis provided it's coated every year. We are a business our reputation is at stake so we do 'as it says on the tin', If this vehicle doesn't sell in the US I will sell it here as a refurbished example, or we will build it up to a clients requirements.
