Question- how deep are the baffles- in other words, what's the maximum depth the speakers can be?

As far as the speakers go, they have to be 6x9 or smaller and flush with the grill. They come with a separator to protect them from everything else in your box, but its metal and so is the box, which was a terrible idea as they rattle like crazy. I cut pieces of cardboard out and covered them in duct tape, and it has worked really well.
