I have a 97 d-90 that has problems with my reciever's memory not working, everytime i turned off the car the settings were set back to default, i decided to just use the quick way out and ran a fused wire to the battery. every 3 days my battery died so that didn't work, so i went back to checking out the wiring, purple is the 12v and the purple/yellow is the switched 12v.....the only problem is that those have no juice going to them. I looked at the fuse panel behind the diff. lever and there was a 7.5 amp fuse that was blown and looking at the diagram looked like a picture of some radio that it went to, well i replaced that but still nothing happened. So can anyone give me any ideas for where i should start??? By the way there is a white wire in that cluster of wires that gives me juice but i didn't think it was the right wire to use..... any help would be great.

I don't know, but do you know how to remove the radio from a '97?

One of the wires the non switched one should have power going to it all the time. When you turn on the 90 one of those wires should have 12 Volts on it, that is the switched wire. The other wire should run directly to the battery.

I have no clue on the 97 radio removal. I would have to see one.

the purple is the 12v constant adn the purple/yellow is the 12v switched but they aren't getting any power at any time, even with the car turned on

So the Radio does not work at all?:confused

When you measure the voltage you are at a good ground point for the negative side of the meter? I know sometimes you will get bad measurements if you don't get a good return path to the meter.
