Custom Front Winch Bumper

Just wanted to share my project from this weekend. I didn't want to spend $$$ on a winch bumper, especially if I have the tools to make one. I spend $100 in steel and small materials and 14 hours later this is what I came up with. I still need to mount the control box and to wire it up, with dual batteries next. I will post a link to the project write up on my website shortly, but here are a few pics to start your Monday morning.

I really dig that. I like the simple almost factory look. Personally I am not into the a-bar look but do realize it does offer some advantages. If I were to make a suggestion, maybe consider rounding it a little more (making it flow a little better) or narrow it a little.

I didn't want the a-bar either, but I needed a place to mount the Hellas! I guess maybe I should have made the a-bar bolt on, I can always cut it off.
