It's a little slow so I am posting some stuff I have recently done.

Like many others I have problems with my speedo. It bounces all over the place and my odometer stooped working at 100,000 miles, so time to fix it. I pulled it out of the dash and pried it apart ( the hardest part) then I advanced it 1000 miles and played around with the #s a little and now it seems to work, for how long we will see.

As for the bouncing speedo, when I pulled the speedo out I also noticed the wire inside the cable could be pulled out some, so I pulled it back and forth a little and put some oil on it. Now my speedo only bounces a very small amount below 10 mph.

In addition to that I also bolted in the 2 new boxes that I got from Troy Smith. They are slightly different from the normal ones as the cover opens the opposite direction. to anyone who has not seen these they hold 2 to 3 times the amount of Junk that the normal Tuffy boxes hold I can't believe the amount could throw in one and still have space.

Hey Mike, what are the stakes for.....Vampires? :grin

Nice set up. I just got mine in too. Although, they're in an SW so the Window-reach-in method is a little burdensome. They're great though! I've got all my recovery gear, tools, etc. in one with plenty of room to spare! A great investment at half the price tuffy wants for less space.

Hey Mike, what are the stakes for.....Vampires?

Occasionally.

They also work good to: make a platform for the high-lift, if you have enough you can winch off of them, something to pry against, Something to put your drive-shaft on when you hammer out the U-Joints, something to tie things to when there's no good trees around and so on, kinda a general use thing.:grin

Forgot to mention, you don't need to buy Tuffy locks, at Home Depot the sell draw locks that are just like the Tuffy locks. I chose a different method. I used a tool chest type locking method so there would be less inside the box to get caught on my junk. The lock on my Tuffies would always get caught on things inside the box and not allow me to open it.
