Kind of trivial but... That little rubber stop on the rear spare mount on a ST.... When the rear door is closed, it is supposed to be tight. Mine finally wore out and that spare rattles like hell over potholes etc. I have tried to rig things up to keep it tight, but nothing seems to work for long. Anyone had experience with this?

Dealers sell rubber replacement bumper- or any bicycle shop that sells Thule roof racks has tons of leftover rubber mountain wheel to road wheel hold-downs that slip onto rachet strap on all roof rack trays. It's the wheel strap thingie!

forgot to say the wheel strap thingie can be fitted similar to the standard rubber bumper and works a hell of alot better. Holds the bar in a u shaped rubber grip!
