I have tried the series of steps listed in the FAQ section. After switching the ignition off and hearing the relay drop, I still see code 17. I do not know if I have other fault codes, for I cannot get a blank screen.

When I kill the power I get code 02. After letting the truck idle for around 10 minutes, it idles down and then Check Enginecomes on followed by code 17. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have repeated the steps of unplugging the code box afew times. Thank you.
My truck is NAS 110.

Code 02 is nothing to worry about, it just means that the ECU was recent recently. Normally it goes away once you turn the truck off.

Code 17 indicates a failure of the throttle position sensor. Easy to replace, but a bit spendier than it needs to be... $60 or so for the part depending on where you go.

I had the identical fault 17 TPS just a few months ago. Easy access swap out, disconnect/reconnect the + terminal, start the truck, check code should stay 02 with no pesky check engine light on. I sourced the part from friend in Shelby, NC. Evan Amaya at Reborn Company. http://www.rebornco.com/ There is a Bosch generic.....looked identical, works fine. Morgan
