I was planning on running the BFG MT's in this flavor but I picked up another set of rims and was wondering who else made tires in this size. I have only been able to find the dunlop radial rover RVXT and the BFG. I was looking for something a little more road oriented but may just get the BFGs anyways while they are still availible. Ive looked on tire rack and discount tire.

Don't weaken, stick with the MT's. Besides, I have yet to own any other tire that has given me over 100k miles of use. It will be a sad day when they quit making these.

Cooper STT's wear too quickly - If you can wait until September the new BFG MT/KM's will be out.

Cooper ST and Cooper STT are 2 completely different tires. I had great luck with them in 235/85 when I had them.

I would like that size in the BFG AT--too bad they don't offer it.

Is this the all new, modern tread design? Are they phasing out the original style?

Yes. I asked BFG and i doubt they will offer the KM2 in the 255/85

It is hard to imagine the KM2 tread design on the skinny side.
