I'm going through my third childhood (already been through the second). I've searched the forums and found that the X-tower Yakima racks for the X-terra vehicle will work. I just can't find any, as they are no longer made. Does anyone know of a source, or an alternative? I may end up calling ECR and have some custom made, probably can't go wrong there. Also, any recommendations on pads/straps. I don't care if they work, they just have to look really cool! (I'm kidding). Thanks!

benchmarkoutfitter,com has them for $30
Follow-up Post:
The yakima surfboard rack is a pain to use.. Just buy cross bars and a set of pads and straps.

What length of bar would you recommend?...they come in several lengths.

I bought the long ones and cut them to fit. I left overhang and bought the yakima paddle holder
which I use for fishing rods.

How long is your board? I put mine in the back, but it is only a 6'1". It peaks out the back window just a bit.

I'm a long boarder these days. Years ago I had an original Jeff Ching fish, short enough that you could you could almost put it in your pocket! My 110 was great for putting the long board inside though...simple. Say "hi" to Hatteras for me...I've caught a wave or two there!
