Has any one had the foam repaired on a D-90 roll bar? Mine has a tear that I would like to get repaired.

Thanks.

I think Just Dashes might be able to repair it.

I called Just Dashes before I posted and they said they do not repair Land Rover roll bars. Maybe I talked to the wrong person. Has any one had any luck with them? Maybe ECR knows where to get it done??

Any other options?

Its a molded rubber part. That means if you can glue it or something for a repair to get by then do that, but if it is badly cracked... replace it.
We know of no way to repair them so they look correct. If they are all UV damaged and cracked, we replace them.

Is the replacement foam readily available?

What do you mean replacement foam? The metal part has the foam molded around it - Mike is saying they replace the whole deal.

RN used to carry the plastic/rubber parts for the internal cage. There are four parts total; two for the side, two for the top. The full set will run you around $300

Those are for a SW (NAS hardtop) and they went NLA about a year ago.

He is talking about the NAS 90 soft top cage that is a steel bar surrounded in molded on rubber stuff, and yes you can still buy NAS 90 roll cage parts but they are $$$.

Whoops, missed that! Thanks for the correction. Good luck finding the parts, and if you haven't yet - start a "Rover petty cash fund" to fund such expendatures. :-)

Soo...?
NAS soft top steel bar surrounded by molded rubber stuff is UV damaged and cracked.
ECR you say you replace them but are $$$.
1. No other options?
2. What is $$$ (assume you would do it all at one time)
3. Has anyone used the un-rubber stuff molded option from say the UK (a new roll kit)? I assume that would entail a new soft top purchase as well as an extra 0.5 ot 1 inch of room would result without the molded rubber stuff keeping it tight.

Is there an option here? I have some funky stick tape from the handle of my tennis racket. Figure $200 to wrap it all (and a wild wide choice of colors!). Could be an option

I like it. Simple, and has the right texture too.

Try it and let me know if it works.

I bought a used rack and ladder a few years ago for a NAS 90 that had been Linexed, and it looked great next to the soft top cage. I am unsure if it could be applied to match the same OD of the SD cage, if the factory foam was removed. Worth a call I would suspect....
