I picked one up, it's not the "safari" brand but very similiar. I notice that his title does not include the word "safari" in it any more...

FYI I bought one and it looks fine. Quite a bargain vs $350-400 units out there...

Dave can you tell if it "needs" the indentation in the fender to fit correctly?

hey
I'll look when I get home. by this I take it you mean there is supposed to be an inset lip on the tdi fender?

Yah, factory tdis appear to have the air intake in the side of the fender, the snorkel goes through that hole. turns out that 2.5 fenders don't have that hole, so I'd like to see if you think that the snorkel really needs that recess to fit correctly.
Make any sense at all?

200tdi's had a breather vent on the left outer wing, 300 tdi's and td5's on the right. Tony you got neither. But Uncle George has the outer wing panels for cheap....

I think the best option would actually be on that goes through the grill on top of the fender.

Yup- nearly tree and rock proof that way.

just looked @ mine, yeah it needs the recess, unless you wanted to modify it. seems like everything I buy is a bargain until i realize how much work or $$$ is involved in making it fit.
like that feet down only winch I just bought on d-weeb
