good trade?

i just made this deal today:
my hardtop and $200 for an r380 tranny with 40XXX miles on it, and a new rebuilt Tcase.
if this a good deal for me?
i figure i now have a spare tcase as mine is still chugging along, and i can also have my Lt77 tranny rebuilt for the same reason.

i only ask because i still have the chance to negociate the cash im going to pay.

James, I got a HT for $1500.00 in great shape. It sounds like a good deal to me. The tcase alone is worth that isn't?

Jim was this the tranny that was on ebay , down south somewhere?? if so I think 2nd gear may not be good.

A good 380 has to be worth $600-$700 and the tcase has to be worth $500.

i found these sitting in a shop down in san diego. they were pulled because the owner had the auto conversion done. Nonetheless i am still concerned about 2nd gear as it seems that all LR trannys have some issue there.

I would say no unless you know the condition is good on both of them, in which case, yes it is a good deal. reciept on the T-case rebuild? COndition of tranny?

BTW CAN YOU PLEASE SEE IF THE PEOPLE WHO DID THE CONVERSION HAVE THE FLYWHEEL FROM THE ENGINE AND ASSOCIATED BITS AS I HAVE BEEN LOOKING TO BUY THEM.
