Does anyone have info on how to track down a vehicle? The resources I'm finding online thus far are pretty weak.

Trying to find my old rover. It was a 1969 88 Series 2A, CA license plate # ZKC 043, VIN # 24435376F. CA DMV registration stated "MAKE: ROVER" and "BODY TYPE: SD88".

Maybe someone has a friend at the DMV or has access to commercial DMV interface?

Why couldnt you just call the DMV? maybe carfax would have information. I think it would be hard if it had not been registered or licensed for a few years? when was last time you were in contact with the Series?

What you're asking is illegal, Wicks. Ca passed a law prohibiting DMV from releasing that type of info after that actress was stalked, tracked down (through DMV) and killed on her doorstep several years ago.

I COULD get the info for you, but I wouldn't. It's not worth the risk.

Try the Gaydon Heritage museum. Maybe the person contacted them to get it's history.

Yeah and pretty soon EYEBALLS will be illegal too. Wouldn't want bad people to be able to use their eyeballs to aim guns or track people.

The law has no standard but that of its underachieving authors.

Then after that THOUGHT becomes illegal. THX1138

ANyone else with info I can use to find my old truck?

'spiders'. 80 million of 'em. Log on and take control of an idle one. www.e-sheep.com/spiders/ One of them will find your truck.

Wicks,
I had a 69 iia awhile back. I have seen it a few times in the Recycler for sale. Was yours a "Bugeye" and what color was it?

Standard green. It was converted back to lights on the grille when new, so not bugeye...I sold it to a fellwo named Lyman Hughes, who at the time lived in Seal Beach. I think I remember him telling me that he was getting a place in New Mexico and that he might take it there.

Wicks,
Years ago I used to see a green series with beige soft top a few blocks from Kenneth Road Village. Was that yours? If so it was a very good lookin truck.
