...replace the auxilary light switch on the right hand side of the steering column with another headlight switch? I'm looking for a 3 position alternative to the auxilary switch and thought another headlight switch would be the best alternative provided there aren't any fit or configuration issues.

thats carzy you say that i thought about the same thing this weekend. i dont see any reason it would not fit or would not work

YES. It is as such on mine. First stage ignites the fogs on bumper and second stage adds the overheads. George at RDS has them.
