bulkhead and wiper stud fitting problem

i purchased a bulkhead and must be for a newwer model defender.problem is the hole for the stud that the wiper blade attaches to is kind of oblong(oval)and in my old bulkhead the hole was round.does anyone know if i can just put a newwer style wiper stud(wheel box assembly)on my old wiper motor drive line.no one probably has a clue what the hell i am talking about:crazy :crazy if you do the help would be great or any suggestions would also help!!!!!!!!!!!!thanks

Have you tried just putting it on to see if it works with the oval hole? I would try asking on one of the UK forums.

yes they fit through the oval hole but i think it would be a little too loose for a movig part.i was hoping one of are UK members might have know,i will try a UK forum.anybody recomend one
