I am selling an ECU out of a classic 4.2L. I believe this is an upgrade and know it is a direct plug and play for a 3.9 prior to ODBII (1996?). I have heard that 4.6L owners use this one too, but I am not sure as to the "why" on that motor.
I did the conversion on the 94 D90 and it got rid of the 85MPH fuel cut :)/governor, and I think it moves it to 110MPH.
Would like to get $125 plus shipping (or trade plus cash for that damn set of shock towers I am looking for hee hee) Thanks guys!!!

Hammertime, it only works on 14CUX trucks. You seem to have a 1997 GEMS truck.

I think the defender comment is just to single out the '97, not to list only the vehicules it will work with.

Yes, it will work on any RRC (mods needed for the very early 1987-89 trucks) and all 1994-95 DI in addition to the above mentioned defenders.

Some options:
- remove weight
- change the gearing of the differentials and/or T-Case
- keep your air filter is perfect condition
- augment the diameter of the exhaust piping
