You can never have enough gages

During one of my trips to my metal supply house i nosed around through a box of vintage aircraft cockpit gages some one had brought in for recycling and found a 1942 aircarft airspeed indicator made for the US Army Air corp. It is a very simple device that works via air pressure differentials. I bought it, tested it to see if it worked, built a pitot tube (attached it to my ARB bumper) and ran flexible tubing up to the driverside of my truck. I just built a mounting bracket to hold the gage that is easily removed from the truck. It works pretty cool... and is pretty accurate as long as you have clean air in front of you. When you have a head wind you get higher airspeed readings than your actual ground speed - so you can determine head winds while traveling down the road. As you can tell it doen't take much to keep me amused.

I like the little s/s bracket that hold the thing, you should sell those... It will be helpfull fo hang stuff like a GPS or a handheld radio without drilling the dashboard.
