View Full Version : 2x UK 110s and 1x SIII 109 FS

ECR
Container just arrived today with 2x 110s and 1x 109.
More data here:
http://www.eastcoastrover.com/ecrforsale.html

I will have prices once the customs fees come in (couple days).

The Green 110 is very nice, if you can handle the RHD
The Brown 110 needs some things, but a good starting point.

Thanks!

Love that green one. What is the name of that color green?Im thinking about maybe painting mine that color

ECR
Not sure of the color. I'll try and find out. Its the same color as the 1984 I used to have, I like it too. I really wanted to keep this one... but it is now sold and has had a few things done and it gets picked up by the new owner on Monday. Now the lucky guy has 3 Defenders. A 90ST (actually my first D90 I bought in 94) a 95SW for his wife and now this 110. Not bad... not bad.

Mike, is it tough to find trucks like that across the pond? Those two you brought in looked to be in very very good condition for '84's. Some of the other ones on here haven't looked to be nearly as well taken care of.

Yes it is hard to find good ones IMO.
Most that my UK guys find are rejected due to crap quality. They are usually really rough with patchwork frames, road signs fixing the rust in the bulkhead, tons of bondo and "fresh paint". I have seen quite a few that I passed on turn up for sale in the USA as "great trucks". I am always looking and have a number of UK places always looking for me as well, and so far I have found 2 that meet my standards (original paint, good frames, original engines, etc etc). I'm a picky bastard though, so what might not please me might please someone else. There is an a$$ for every seat.
Its like trying to find a 1983 Chevy truck in New England that doesn't have rust and hasn't been beat up. That is a tall order around here.... same thing in the UK on older Defenders.
One major hassle now is that the Dutch are snapping the good ones up as they can now run them tax free. So everyone and their brother is on the hunt for these right now and prices of the good ones reflect it, and I think most of the good ones are already gone, but more will cycle in as the years go by.
So I guess it just depends on what you are looking for.

They are 1983s.
1984s won't be able to be imported until 2009 if you play by the rules.
