Just purchased a silver LRX Grill slightly used. I would like to get $460 plus shipping. You can see what it looks like on the front of my truck and includes the wire mesh behind the grill.

LRX Grill And Headlight Surround Kit

In Silver From £211.00 + £36.93 VAT

I break the stock ones with amazing regularity but can't like these. With the winch bumper, winch and offroad lights the knackered grill isn't that noticeable.

Doug,
thanks for the insight - so to take away from the comments above the o boy or o brother (and I hope this isn't nor is it meant to be taken in a negative way by anyone) stems from.... I am only guessing
1 - some people are not to keen on the price (understandable as I think the word Pound has a double meaning)
2. functionality - (not too functional when it comes to taking a rock to the center of a particularly expensive grille) understandable as I never intended to put a winch on the truck but good feedback to anyone who is thinking about getting an upgraded grill that if you have a winch or are playing chicken with trees do purchase anything your not willing to give up if it gets munched :)
3. purist or partial purist would find the grill flashy.
This is a bit of perplexology as most of us lift our truck, have diff gaurds, steering gaurds, h4s, upgraded ignitions, tops which were not factory, upgraded exhaust etc. all of which were never factory but have made their way to the available aftermarket. Ok - so its not purist but falls totallly into any other "non-stock" upgrade that is done.
If not 1 - 3 what am I missing?

You're on track, you're just experiencing feedback from the more curmudgeonly among us. Much of the joy of being a purist is making snide comments. In realizing this, LRX grills should come with flame-proof suits.

I imagine it would but that is o.k. as we are all entitled to our opinions and I have nothing against all stock, all modified or somewhere in the middle. Besides, like what Doug had mentioning that there are pros on cons to each mod that is done.

Clay,

My perspective- which is not meant to insult you or effect your sale (you asked). That grill and surrounds have as much business on my defender as an overweight woman with a big ugly white spare tire has wearing a belly shirt . Crime against humanity type thing.

That said someone with a black truck with chrome rims ( have a black 110 with chrome modulars just off the boat belonging to a client in the driveway) would probably think this bling is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Land Rover owners as a group are some of the most eccentric people you will encounter in life- that's a good thing !

I think some people like it because it co-ops some of that more modern styling from the modern LR's - and of course LR themselves have tried to tart up the defender with this sort of accoutrement on a couple of their show defenders. Kind of like making a Mako Shark replica - its either what you gotta have, or what you gotta hate.

Doug,
No offense taken, I thought it was great comment and I would not want be the type of sales person to tell that fat lady that the "Baby GAP" shirt she is about to buy to stuff what looks like a puffy steering wheel on a transit bus that the shirt "Looks Great" .

Aaron,
No problem San Diego- we are a little closer to Hollywood so I had to put the grill on to keep up with the imagine. I also purchased super expensive sunglasses that I can't afford and drive along Rodeo Drive in my pimped out D-90 - next I am going to lower it (my IQ) not the truck, wait I can't lower my IQ anymore!
