SW currently resides 20 minutes north of Chicago.
1997 Alpine White Station Wagon, Badged CDN001. This SW was purchased from Vancouver Canada, and was previously owned by the president of BMW Canada, who used it for rallies and dealer events only, hence the low miles. Sold when BMW parted with LR a few years back.
As a part of a franchise/dealer agreement, Fields Auto group here in Chicago purchased to vehicle when negotiating a BMW dealership In Vancouver. It sat for approxiamately one year in their lot till I purchased the SW.
The engine is fresh and performs accordingly.
I had Land Rover Lake Bluff perform the 30k service this January as a precaution. All Major fluids (and filters if applicable) have been changed - Radiator, Diffs, Transmission, Transfer Case, & Swivel Balls. Also Had the Dealer decarbonize the throttle body.
Oil changed every 3000 miles and the correct Land Rover gas supplement to prevent sticking valves has been added since owned. AMSOIL synthectic since I have owned it. New Sills installed.
Stock Equipment:
Factory Brush Bar and rear guards
Factory Winch bumper and tow hooks
Factory Installed Warn 9000 winch.
Factory Rubber Load mat
Rear Tire Cover - Land Rover Green Oval
Aftermarket Equipment:
Full NRP Stainless Exhaust system - December 2003
New OEM Brake Pads - November 2003
OEM Rubber Floor mats for the front.
Brown Bread from www.b-quiet.com in the rear tub.
4 New BFG 265/75/16 ATs - October 2003.
Frame Waxoyled since new
OEM Boot Kit for rear lights
RoversNorth Grill in Black
Issues:
Front bumper has surface rust on it.
SW has been wheeled throughout Midwest - Mostly on moderate trails.
So why the sale? I am following my dream and am negotiating the purchase of a restored 1965 SW. I have always wanted to be personable responsible for every aspect of my LR and with series I believe with time I can achieve that goal. A truck this nice needs an owner who can wheel it to it's potential. I perfer tackling technical terrain on my moutain bike, not my truck.
Offers over 30k should ease my pain.
Willing to assist in shipping if need be.
Thanks, Eric
