View Full Version : House Cleaning

Trying to clean the place up of some of the Defender parts I am not using on my rebuild.

Center Console - Removed from NAS 110. Not perfect condition, but considerably better than the majority seem to be. Includes Radio in unknown condition. (never even tried turning it on before removing it.) There are a couple small knicks and 4 small mounting holes from a cell phone mount in the front, but they are not obtrusive. See pics

Steering Wheel - NAS Defender Steering Wheel. Excellent Condition. Crash pad not included. Would be a great replacement for one of those sun damaged ST wheels out there.

Hella 500's - I have 6 of these. All are driving light pattern and all are brand new in the box. One arrived with a small chip in the edge of the glass. The chip is just on the edge, not affecting it at all, and difficult to even notice. All come with covers and the wiring that Hella supplies, in orig. box. Pics are of the damaged pair, but others are perfect.

Wingtop Protectors - Genuine Land Rover 5 bar in silver finish. These are brand new in the box, never even installed. AB gets $289.95 for these and RN asks $320.21

BFG All Terrains - Set of 4 235/85/16. Tread depth is good. I can't locate my tread depth gauge at the moment, but using the coin method it appears that one is slightly more worn than the other three. Hard to tell how much though without my gauge. These are not new, but have a lot of miles left on them.

Console - $75
Steering Wheel - $100
Hella's - $50/pair - $30 for the damaged pair
Wingtop Protectors - $175
BFGs - $50/ea or $175 for the set

Prices do not include shipping. I need this stuff out of here, I can barely move around the garage and basement right now!

If no one takes your tires, I'll drop through and give you two bills for them in December. No sense shipping used tires I don't think.

Jim,

I'd really like to get them out of here asap as they are the largest of the items, but if need be I can put them aside for you.

JimC
October 21st, 2008, 03:26 PM
Don't put them aside for me - I'm just giving you an option as opposed to throwing them out if no one buys them. Please don't consider them licked!

Mountainviewrover - I sold the chipped pair to CDeWan. He was the first to reply and sent me a PM requesting the chipped pair. If you would like one of the other sets, they are still available.

Big D - JimC is correct. These are the standard size for a D110, but would fit a 90 just fine. I'll check on shipping and let you know, check your PM's.

UPDATE - READ!!!

Ok, first off, I found a few more things you guys may be interested in.

D90 Stainless Chassis Bolt Kit - This Is a complete kit, new in the box/bag of stainless bolts to replace the chassis bolts on your D90. Includes the rear tub to chassis cross-member bolts.

Hella 3000 Parts - I have a complete Hella 3000 with cracked glass. It looks to be a Driving or Flood Beam, not sure which, but doesn't look like a fog lens. The glass is cracked as I said, but it is not falling apart, may be usable as is. The real treasure here is the housing and mount which are in good shape. This also comes with an additional mount and retaining ring that I have.

D110 Steel Wheel - This was an extra spare that came with my 110. It is painted black.

OEM Driving Light Switch - Great for a factory looking install of driving lights.

Console - $75
Steering Wheel - $100 SOLD

On the stainless chassis set, are there any issues with structural integrity when making this switch? I know very little on this topic but have heard others here say before not to replace your rated seat belt bolts, etc. with stainless due to the difference in strength. Anyone?

Well, I can't say for sure, but none of the things that it replaces really needs to be grade 8, and probably aren't even from LR. I would imagine the only Grade 8 stuff from the factory is the suspension, steering and brake stuff. Either way, I am inclined to think they are plenty safe or the company I bought them from would probably be out of business due to a lawsuit.
