Strange hybrid look, see by yourself:

The 2008 was a pick up.

A friend of mine is doing this mod in a local paintshop.
The result looks good, even is the work is not top notch,
but the client is not very fussy, so i guess it's all right.
He is coating the all back tube and the roll cage with
liner, he's thinking about switching the doors too, so
he can remove the top doors.
He told me the Ford engine feels like a V8... :hmm

One thing he has not solve yet, the rear door is pick up type,
so no regular spare tire carrier will fit. Any ideas ?
I think i saw somewhere a heavy spare carrier that
is hold only on the rear cross member, it has a
release mechanism and a big hinge on the right side.
Sounds familiar to any of you ?

The NAS Soft tops just have the standard tailgate attached with station wagon hinges to swing sideways. At that point you can use either a Mantec or standard NAS tire carrier.

And not to be a picky ass, but thats a 1994 NAS cage, 93's were 110 cages. :)

According to the owner, the title says it's a 93, but they probably made
him 1 year older when they were bringing it from the US, so they could
pay a little less money when clearing customs.
Anyway i'll check the VIN when i see it again.

The carrier is for the 2008, which was/is a pick up, so the back door has
the hinges on the bottom. I think the Kaymar carrier can work there.

Oh, I see, he wants to leave the hinges on the bottom. It would be easy to switch to side hinges if He wanted.

The 94 D-90 was probably manufactured in 93. The US is typically only concerned with "model year" - My 93 110 was actually built in like September 92, but that counts as a 93 for our purposes here.

Check with Stephen at Safari Rovers, as he carries a swing out carrier for a bottom hinged tailgate. I bought one when converting a tailgate, and it is sweet- also has a spot for a hi-lift.

Might be from a '93 SV 90 from the UK (pre-cursor to the NAS 90). :)

Hi Stephen,

I'll pass the info for the tire carrier to my friend.
Send me a mail with the details of the carrier
if you have some.

Thanks
