Ok so I got from Mike that I need to take the shocks off to get the springs off. Trouble is i can't stop the shock from spinning when I try to take the nuts off. Any ideas tricks? Oh and I'm finding a lot of mud from Rausch Creek still.

The top of the shock should have a notch for a screwdriver or it should be square to put a wrench on it.

Heat the nut to burn off any lock-tite or nylon on the nuts.

Use an adjustable wrench to old the flat spots on the stud until the nut works loose.

Stock shocks had plastic "boots" and you cant grab them like you can with OME shocks and a pipe wrench.

It that doesn't work, use a grinder or saws-all

I've used channel locks in the past. On OME shocks there is a serrated ring at the base of the each shock in which I affix the channel locks to a the while using a ratchet to remove the nut.

I've got Bilstiens. Got the back done and the truck rides a lot better. Going to tackle the front tomorrow now that I'm getting a bunch of tricks to try.
