I know these are HARD to come by (pardon my pun) but anyone know where I can pick one of these up? I live in colorado and a hardtop in the winter would be FANTASTIC!

Phil,
Word to the wise....about hard tops in general, inspect them closely for cracks around the mounts. Make sure the top has all the mounting hardware. You may have to drill holes into you tub to mount it. I paid $1,200 for a top that was probably a 4/10 and spent another $1,200 getting it repaired and painted. Didn't know anybetter at the time. O....AND DON'T OVERTIGHTEN THE BOLTS WHEN INSTALLING IT :).

Thanks for the tip!!! I found another forum entry that RoverRacks.com is going to start making them again? I am sure they are not going to be cheap, but they might ware a bit better then something that is 15 years old! I sent them an email, i will post back what they email to me... hopefully some pictures!

Kevin's top sounds like a pretty good deal and in the long run a hard top is probably better in the snow (brrrrr) as it will save wear and tear on your soft-top.

Just got an email from Roverracks.com saying that the new hard tops are going to be out first of the year.
Here is a quote from the email that I received:
"Hi Phil -
Yes, we will be producing the tops after the first of the year. Options/pricing/availability - starting at $2499, will have options of sunroof, sliding rear windows, half cab (less money), headliner, speaker holes, and more that I can't think of right now. They will be available in carbon fiber and fiberglass. Would you like me to put you on our "call when available" list?
Andy

Hope that is interesting to you all :)

I'm on that list too. I would love to see the prototype. A nice new hardtop should keep me toasty in the "Windy City."

I am interested in seeing what they come up with on the half cab config. Would be cool if they could do a locking hard cap for the back so I can toss gear and not worry about it on the trails.

Carbon Fiber sounds wrong but I am interested to see how it looks as well.
*Odd how many people with blue defenders are asking about this.
TravelerBT
I would venture to say that carbon fiber sounds expensive too... Not that 2499 is cheap!
