Once a diesel engine/tranny/TC gets to the states, does anyone know how much to expect to pay to customs? Calling all importers!
Thanks

I guess my experience is a bit different. I clear my own stuff through customs and haven't paid the fee's that Dave is itemizing other than the 2.5% customs duty. Since my last two shipments were in a "made up" container I had to wait for the containers to be cleared by customs. Both containers recieved the VAXIS exam (xray) for which there was a fee and the container company charged additional "drayage charges" for ferrying the conatiner back and forth. This was all in Newark which I am assuming is the port you will be dealing with. This ran things up about $200 more than the customs duty. This was for a shipment that was nearly identical to your Tom.
