Soft Top to Station Wagon

I have a 1995 Soft Top and living in California I thought that because of the weather I might take the fiberglass top off and leave it open. As it turns out I have never done that and it looks as though I am moving to Maine next year. Is there any way to convert to a more solid top? Is there such a thing as an affordable station wagon conversion? Or some sort of aluminum top?

I thought I saw an article to that effect in the tech section, but couldn't find it there.

You would need to switch to the SW components, which could be pricey. RN or RDS usually has them.

Check out the build for ECR4 on eastcoastrover to get an idea of what it entails and the parts they did.

For a ST, you can get a Alum hard top and mount it on there. I am not sure what they do about the roll cage though. Converting a SW to ST is the incredibly more involved and expensive project.

RN sells them as I think Rovers Down South may have some too. Check with RDS first as they has a pretty nice special running here on the site and will save you some $$.

The previous owner of my 94 ST installed the UK alum. top. The stock roll bar is a no-go. I have yet to install the internal roll hoop, as I need to get brackets for the seat belt recoil assemblies made. I also need brackets for the rear bench seat shoulder harness made.

I have done the ST to SW conversion. I got the top, rear door, and interior trim for $1100. If you search around I'm sure you'll find one. I think I had pictures in the old BB but I have no idea if I can access the old board, Chris?
